This summer was wonderful!  Full of excitement and quiet moment.  Here is a snippet of our past few months here in our new home town.

Our first year of homeschooling is over.  Yet, I didn't want the boys to be idle during our summer break.  I asked each of them to decide on a subject to study.  We have had a unit study on electricity, science experiments, marble runs and to top it off a study on Lewis and Clark and the purchase of Louisiana.

 The Tomato Festival is dedicated entirely to tomatoes.  The boys shot be-be guns at tomatoes, ate tomatoes and stood with a walking tomato.  Oh, yes, fun times!

 

 

 We have been swimming, blueberry and blackberry picking, sailing, and camping.

The boys were able to go to grandparents house for 2 weeks, Alex for a month.  This allowed Jackson and me 2 wonderful, quiet weeks.  The boys flew by themselves and had a wonderful time.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
